Portrait of Hollie Schmidt

Hollie Schmidt
Vice President, Scientific Operations

Hollie Schmidt directs ACP’s scientific programs across the full range of strategic and operational work, playing a leadership role in each of the organization’s core research initiatives. She co-chairs the iConquerMS Research Committee, co-leads the RIDE Council, and leads the MS Minority Research Engagement Partnership Network. She also represents ACP externally, serving as Vice President of the MS Coalition and as a workstream leader for PALADIN.

Hollie’s current work spans iConquerMS and ACP’s inclusive research initiatives, where she leads the recruitment platform initiative and serves as internal lead on collaborative projects including the NMSS Shaping Tomorrow Together survey. She also supports the CAFE-MS study and a pediatric MS survey in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis.

Before joining ACP in 2001, Hollie founded Midnight Networks, a networking software startup acquired by Teradyne in 1996, and previously held roles at United Technologies and Marsh McLennan. Whether in high tech, environmental public policy, or MS research, Hollie has always been drawn to building things from the ground up.

Hollie holds three degrees from MIT in materials science, engineering, and management. She lives in Lexington, Massachusetts, and serves on a Boston hospital IRB, a reflection of her enduring enthusiasm for what happens at the frontier of medical research.
