Portrait of Mark Gilliland

Mark Gilliland
Program Manager

Mark Gilliland provides data and systems support across ACP’s core programs, keeping the technical infrastructure behind CAFE-MS, the ACP Repository, and iConquerMS running effectively. His work spans data analysis, survey development, automated programming, and dashboard tracking. He also plays a key role in making ACP’s research datasets available on the DNAnexus platform, translating complex data needs into tools that give researchers around the world access to decades of MS findings.

A personal connection to the MS community gives Mark’s work added meaning beyond the technical: a close family friend lives with MS, and that connection shapes how he approaches the people behind the data. He is drawn to the intersection of health, technology, and scientific research, and brings to ACP a background in data analysis and systems management from the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he specialized in handling large datasets and building program evaluation tools.

Mark holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, he can often be found planning his next scuba diving trip.
