Sara Loud
Chief Executive Officer

Sara Loud sets the strategic direction for Accelerated Cure Project, leading the organization in its mission to accelerate MS research and improve health, healthcare, and quality of life for people affected by MS. Under her leadership, ACP has grown into an integrated research ecosystem, building the ACP Repository, launching and expanding iConquerMS, and developing inclusive engagement initiatives that connect people affected by MS, care partners, clinicians, and researchers.

Sara also stewards the organizational infrastructure that makes this work possible: staff leadership, fundraising, governance, and strategic partnerships that position ACP for long-term impact. Originally hired in 2005 as Director of the ACP Repository, she has been a driving force behind the organization’s evolution, including the growth of iConquerMS into a people-powered research network with more than 10,000 participants.

Before joining ACP, Sara built her career as an electrical engineer and project manager at high-tech startups spanning image processing, radio communications, and internet networking. Throughout, she has brought technical rigor and strategic thinking to complex, human-centered challenges, an approach that defines her leadership at ACP.

Sara holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from Babson College. She lives in coastal Maine with her family and in warmer months can often be found working from her outdoor office.
